Exporting Constraints

Hi there, I think this is a great initiative for future prospective entrepreneurs to consider. There are many many places around the world that would love to buy the products coming from the USA.

Thing is, many countries require tariffs on imports, depending on the product and its corresponding tariff rate.

The next issue is shipping. Container shipping is slow but the most economical form, depending on your product. I think this Export Video contest is good, but to document the process would take at least as long as the container shipping takes, which could be 2-3+ months.

Just my comments, and I look forward to seeing the ideas in the videos. There are ways to do this relatively overhead-free.

    I wanted to know if it would be possible for us use our own Media Release Forms rather than the Video Consent Forms that were made avilable by the SBA. We have one particular gent who is in the video that lives abroad and with the short notice of the contest we would need more time to get him the form and then receive the original back. Please let us know if this is doable as we would like to participate in the contest.
