TOHL is a service company that installs pipelines through new, innovative techniques that save money and time. Based out of Atlanta, GA, USA, TOHL exports its services to clients in distinct countries requesting their services. TOHL uses patent-pending methodologies for installing pipelines in significantly longer segments than conventional installation methods, through the use of coiled tubing in lengths of several kilometers. The pipeline installations are achieved over even the most challenging terrain by spools attached to helicopters or trucks. TOHL’s methodology utilizes a combination of 2 innovations. First, TOHL uses homogeneous coiled tubing. Traditionally, pipelines are installed in short segments and have many connections. The segments are welded together in-place, on-site, and each welded connection takes between 1 and 2 hours to complete. This incurs massive labor costs. TOHL reduces this labor cost by reducing the amount of connections in the pipelines, by installing long segments that are coiled onto a reel during the tubing manufacturing process. Second, TOHL’s founders created a simple, practical invention: helicopter deployment of coiled tubing pipelines. This innovation allows for pipelines to be costeffectively installed in even the most challenging locations. A spool of coiled tubing is loaded onto the helicopter and is then installed over difficult terrain or in remote areas. Combining homogeneous coiled tubing with helicopter deployment creates a highly versatile pipeline installation company. A cost-effective and integrated method of installing pipelines is now available. TOHL uses 2 different types of installation vehicles, truck or helicopter.
