TLC Products - a CONSUMER PRODUCTS small business.

TLC Products, a developer, manufacturer, and marketer of live bacterial products for purifying aquatic systems such as aquariums, ponds, and septic tanks, grew steadily from 1996 through 2008. During that period, nearly all TLC sales were within the USA.

With the world-wide recession of 2008, TLC Products turned to exporting for its growth. TLC Products received invaluable assistance from the SBA, securing two Export Express lines of credit to help finance export activities, particularly international travel, training, translation, and label generation. TLC Products has also become familiar with the Export Receivables Insurance programs available, which will allow TLC Products to extend terms to new export distributors without undue risk and at minimal cost.

Thanks to the financial assistance provided by the SBA, TLC Products was able to double its sales from 2009 to 2012, and saw its exports increase from 5% of sales in 2009 to 25% of sales in 2012.

The highlight of our corporate history to date: On February 21, 2013, TLC Products was honored with a visit to its' facility by SBA Administrator Karen Mills, who praised TLC Products for export success and job creation in the USA.
